Fefco Innovation Award for Apex

Apex Group of Companies was rewarded by FEFCO, the European Association for the Corrugated Industry, with a Bronze Award. Apex received this award in the category “Best Innovation” during Fefco’s Technical Seminar last May in Berlin.

The leading supplier of anilox-, metering rolls and glue sets for the Corrugated industry received the prize for the product range “UniCorr”. This new generation metering rolls is produced by means of the by Apex developed Genetic Transfer Technology and distinguishes itself in many respects of the ink transfer compared to the conventional anilox rolls.

Results gained in practice indicate that the new innovation offers a great potential to improve the print quality and they also show new possibilities for standardization. 1 ½ years after the market introduction already more than 160 corrugated factories gather experiences with the new technology.

Along with the UniCorr metering rolls, also the product ranges for UniFlex (Flexible Packaging) and UniCoat (Offset- and Coating industry) are being produced using the Genetic Transfer Technology.
